It's been a while since I was pregnant and I hope you do not mind me popping up on your board. I am enrolled in a training course which involves finding a willing mum prior to giving birth to her baby and then visiting her and the baby for 1 hour a week for 1 year. The purpose of the baby observation is so that I learn about the typical development of a baby during its first year of life in the family environment. Please let me know if you would like to ask any further questions or would like to participate.
Thanks for reading my msg and all the best with your families.
Thank you for your suggestion. I have tried to put up my flyer in lots of spots in my local area but mums are so busy today that I think they are a little worried about agreeing to give an hour a week to a visitor to observe them.
The mums who have volunteered for other trainees in the course in the past seem to have enjoyed it and after the yr's observation many of them have stayed in contact - but I don't know how to really get this across to expectant mums.
If you can think of any pregnant mum networking sites in Sydney pls let me know as I don't think I am making any fast progress.
Thanks again for your interest in my request. All suggestions are welcome.
