my ds had severe food allergies till about 1 year ago.. dairy, egg, fish and melon. well with Julianna i avoided all while nursing and she thank goodness has no food allergies. well I plan to do the same with ethan.. well up untill today I have been on antibitotics for a bladder infection .. yes 3 weeks worth.. well I have been taking acidopholis every day.. well I just went to read the ingredients, and there is whey in it which is a milk protein.. crap.. crap crap.. here I am avoiding dairy and now this!! he has been congested and gassy to a degree.. will I cause him to have one like I did to my ds.. I also ate dairy while nursing him.. or the 3 pills a day of acidopholus wont do it.. I am so upset right now
I wouldn't worry too much at this point; can you take something like Lactaid with the antibiotic? That was what I did with Logan when he was nursing. Dairy made him pretty gassy/cranky, so if I ate anything with dairy, I'd eat it with the lactaid to break it down more before he could get to it. Make sense? Maybe that could help. But I wouldn't worry a whole lot about being gassy right now; as long as there aren't hives/rashes etc. you may not be looking at anything. My boys are 2 yrs apart, #1 has 5 allergies, #2 has no food allergies we know of, but a penicillin one. I think they are either going to have it or not, kwim? I'm really not sure we can do all that much about it. I think being careful helps, but I'm just not sure how much. I'm rambling now, so I'll sign off
