I think chocolate is a big culprit in Nathan's itching....This morning he wanted Cocoa Pebbles for breakfast...I gave him a little bit and within 20 minutes he was scratching the inside of his elbows....I wonder if a chocolate allergy is common in conjunction with a peanut allergy????? My mom says she had problems with chocolate when she was little...but doesn't have problems now....The poor little guy itches nonstop it seems....

I think a lot of chocolate stuff has the made in the same factory as peanuts/dairy etc. warning right? Maybe he's getting traces there? Does Nate have the soy allergy along with the peanut? I can't remember. I'm asking b/c..soy(beans)/peanuts are all in the "legume" family that all beans/peas are a part of. Chocolate comes from the cocoa bean, I think,(not sure?) So with it(if it is) being a distant relative of the legume family; maybe that's why he's itchy? That's the only thing I can think of to help...

It could also be something else in that cereal. When I was a kid I tried Cocoa Puffs for the first time at school and I soon fell in love with them and ate them every single day. I ended up breaking out into awful hivey scabby things that took FOREVER to go away. I ended up growing out of whatever that was.
