Well, other than failing to read the VITAMIN information on a box of cereal -- I'm kicking myself here, but seriously... who knew that cereals sometimes get vitamin E from soy?! and therefore we have a nice bright rash on Rebecca's cheeks and scaly arms and legs... and thus a cranky toddler... though I don't know if that is skin related or if the soy does more to her than just giving her a rash... things are going great here...

(Btw... Hi, I'm Melissa, I drop in here very occasionally, but have never introduced myself, so here I am. )

How did the food challenge go?

We're hanging in there. For a bit there, I thought/hoped that Luc had outgrown his wheat allergy. I had been giving him a veggie snack, that I totally dropped the ball on and recently found out had wheat flour. I was scared and hopeful that maybe he had outgrown the wheat. But the other day I gave him kamut - which was a form of wheat - and he totally reacted!

It went pretty well..there was a very mild reaction. I did egg yolks only-Toby had only tested positive for whites, but we have avoided eggs completely instead of trying to differentiate. He got just a couple of spots, and they didn't get too bad So, I'm going to keep trying to avoid, but its looking good so far. Logan did the same thing, just a couple of eczema patches on his legs.

actually, we're doing well over here. the eczema seems to be hibernating (like a bear - b/c it's winter. she breaks out in the summer, from sweating). our allergist told us not to try any of her allergen foods yet, so we're sticking to the avoiding everything concept........

FYI: soy is in EVERYTHING (okay, not everthing, but you'd be surprised what it shows up in, not thinking that it would be there)!

i'm a nazi about reading labels, hahaha. i have to be though, ya know.

She loves Yo Gabba Gabba, Pinocchio, Princess Snow White, Aurora, Belle & Care Bears. We're currently working on potty training, but it's not going well......
