They make some CRAYONS from soy?! Not only that, but they print with soy based inks on soooo many things (mainly stationaries that one can purchase from the stores if on recycled papers). She's still at an age where she puts things in her mouth, and I don't know when she will or won't, so we have to keep that sort of thing away from her. *sigh* I seriously never thought I was going to have to be careful what crayons and paper I allowed my child to access!

From the Crayola website:
Crayola Crayons are made from two basic ingredients: paraffin wax and pigment.

If you check out Discount School Supply, they have soy free art supplies.

Crayola is safe-- already asked them about their products when I found out we have crayons in the house that have soy in them (ARGH), and Playdoh (brand name) is also soy free-- asked them a few months back.

ETA: a comprehensive does not contain list from Crayola: Crayola.com Can We Help

I didn't either. I did think of sunscreen and lip balm...which both surprised me.

Soy is in a lot of things. So is wheat (finger paints, playdough, a lot of lotions etc)
