We just had a pizza place near us that delivers start serving gluten free pizza. I ordered these test strips online (EZGluten for anyone wondering) that test for the presence of gluten. They are kind of pricey, but I only ordered 5 and wanted to test this pizza place out. I figured if they tested negative for gluten then I'd start ordering this more often. I know they said gluten free, but I just wasn't 100% sure how serious they were about cross contamination. I am thrilled to say they passed with flying colors! It was so awesome to be able to order delivery again!!
I am testing the breakfast we get for dd at the restaurant we go to on Sunday. It is the one meal where we are eating gluten (except dd of course). They are cooking her food in a separate skillet, but I'm still super nervous that her food has been contaminated. Dh doesn't think so. Now I'll be able to know for sure. If it tests fine then she can keep eating there. If it doesn't then I will bring her in Fruity Pebbles as a treat while we get breakfast and have her sit next to someone not eating gluten.
That's pretty cool that you have a pizza place has gluten free pizza. We have one nearby too. I was pretty excited to see that they had a gluten free menu. Just gluten free doesn't work for us, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
I'll have to check out EZGluten. Thanks for sharing!
