We eat at the same place for breakfast every Sunday. I had a feeling that Megan was getting contaminated there, but dh just has thought they were fine and I was being paranoid. They cook her food in a separate skillet, but I know they mix a lot of flours and stuff there. It's primarily a breakfast restaurant so I just have been suspicious. Well, I used the EZgluten strips I ordered and brought her food home to test it and sure enough it had gluten in it. It tested in the low positive verses high positive range, but still it definitely had gluten in it. Dh is kind of annoying because his first response was did you wash your hands? Very annoying. I washed my hands twice since I had gluten at the restaurant. Once before leaving the restaurant and once at home. I'm hoping that this makes a big difference eliminating her eating there since we go there every week. I'm going to have her start bringing in Fruity Pebbles from home. They've let us bring in cereal before without giving us a hard time so hoping that will continue.
That's great that you located something! What was she eating there?
Little by little I'm sure you'll sort it all out!
Eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon. They let me read the label on their hashbrowns before so I know everything she is eating is gluten free. It's just cross contamination I believe that is causing the problem there.
