Anyone else deal with fish allergies with their children?
We are planning a vacation to the lake at the end of September, and I was curious to know if she could swim in the lake...that's filled with fish. This may be a stupid question but I've never thought about it before!!
From what I have seen on other forums it depends how bad the allergy is. Can she touch fish but not eat it or will touching it set off a reaction? If she can't touch it I would say try feet in first and after 30 minutes see how she does. Have benadryl/epi on hand just in case and if there is no rash or anything after 30 minutes she should be fine. That is what I would do. You can also try calling her doc and see what they say. It just depends on how bad the allergy is...
