DS is 10 months old-- diagnosed with cow's milk intolerance at about 3 months. He had blood in his stools, diarrhea, the whole bit. I just started reintroducing dairy a few weeks ago-- he's doing fine so far, but I am incredibly bloated! I'm not having any pain or diarrhea, but could this be lactose intolerance? And if so, will it go away or did my poor body decide to hate milk during its absence?
Your body produces an enzyme that allows you to digest milk. If you stop taking in milk, your body stops producing the enzyme. I would try the lactaid type things for lactose intolerance and see if that helps. If not, you may have developed a dairy intolerance as well. :/
