I can tell you right now, when Zoe is old enough, I'll be teaching her everything. I don't know if the pediatrician that we have is into this or not, so I'm going to play it like he doesn't and do it myself.
I am not sure 'how' yet, but I will be teaching my girls about charting when the time comes. I think if they start practicing it early with just a very basic chart, it won't be so hard (and hard to remember) when they're adults, etc. I had no idea about how my body functioned (beyond the very basics) until I was close to 20 years old and had to do all the research on my own; my mom, teachers, doctors only ever talked to me about b/c.
If I ever have a daughter she will know all about charting very early on. And I will be the one to teach her - I know what the schools tell you and it isn't enough. Doctors (at least mine growing up) didn't say much of anything either and it would make DH uncomfortable so it is all on me!
AJ (age 7) & Katie (age 2.5) PM to see if I am available to make a siggy - decisions will be made on a case by case basis.
