I lent my TCOYF book to my SIL otherwise I would look this up. But since I can't, I'll ask you ladies: Is EWCM supposed to be clear? Or can it be white or yellow? And how many days does it last, or does that vary between women? Thanks!

The most fertile mucus is usually clear, but it doesn't have to be. Every woman is different. What matters most is whether it makes you feel very wet and slippery, or not.

It can last from a few days to many days. Every woman is different, every cycle is different.

Ok, now for my next question: I am starting to think that my EWCM isn't egg-white at all. I just feel extremely wet and I have a puddle (sorry TMI) in my underwear! But there is no mucus that I can actually feel or even pinch between my fingers; it's just water. Is this somewhere on the spectrum of normal?

If you feel extremely wet, that is the mucus! It's entirely normal, that's exactly what observing sensation is all about. You don't need to feel, touch, or measure anything with your fingers at all!

That's what I thought. Thanks Shawna. Now I wonder where people get this egg-white stuff from....

Erin - I've wondered the same thing too! Mine is never clear, but definitely like what you described above as well.
