And I was reading a post on prenatal vitamins. It got me wondering about whether I should start taking them now that I am using FAM (even though we're TTA) or at the very least be taking a folic acid supplement. I know some doctors recommend that all women of childbearing age take folic acid as a preventative measure, but what about regular prenatal vitamins? Any thoughts? I am currently not taking any multivitamins (although I probably should) and I do have a bottle of prenatals sitting around from last year.

It certainly wouldn't hurt anything. Because FAM carries the same failure rate as whatever barrier you're using with it, your chance of pregnancy will be higher than it was while on the Pill - but lower than if you were using nothing at all.
