So almost every cycle I get ovulation pain. It starts off as a dull ache on one side that eventually feels like someone has blown a balloon up inside of me (TMI sorry). Last cycle I didn't get it but 3 days later had pain so bad that I thought it could be my appendix. It lasted probably a good 36 hours and the last 12 hours of it was terrible. It came in waves almost like contractions. Now I'm on CD 29 and haven't ovulated yet, so this ties my longest which would be the first cycle off the pill. I started getting the pain again yesterday and by the end of the night I was almost in tears. I still have it today, but it's not nearly as bad and doesn't come as often. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking cysts, but does would it have anything to do with ovulation?

It might, the hormones that would make you ovulate might make the cyst pain worse? Idk really, I hope somebody can help you figure it out.

Sounds like it could be mittleschmerz, or ovulation pain. If it happens around the time your chart confirms ovulation, it's perfectly normal. I've only had ovulation pain like that a few times, but it was the first few times my body ovulated again after a long rest from ovulating...such as the first few cycles after having a baby. It got better with each cycle.

this seems to be getting worse. I've had the ovulation pain for quite a while, but this feels completely different.

It probably wouldn't hurt to get checked out. It could be lots of things.
