From my earlier question I see a lot of you are like me and use NFP/FAM as a form of birth control, so I was wondering, well, why?

Natural & Religious. No hormones. No barriers (and no need to worry about allergies to latex and spermicide).

A few reasons, first is that my body has never reacted well to hormonal BC and I'm tired of feeling so unwell because of it that I would rather just NOT DTD! Obviously that wouldn't be healthy for my relationship but neither would a third baby right now. I mean of it happened it wouldn't be the worst thing. We are however WTTC which brings me to my next reason, I want to learn to track my cycles and get to know my body in a sense for when the time does to TTC.

It's compatible with our faith and it makes sense. High effectiveness without risks to my health.

Religious reasons, FREE, no side effects, cool to know what's going on with my body, increased communication between my husband and I.

Those are pretty close to my reasons. Its free, which I need since I'm back to being broke, and I always have horrible reactions to birth control.

I have bad reactions to bc and dh is too stubborn to use condoms. Also, we want to ttc at the end of this year, so I don't want to be waiting on my cycle to regulate again.

I add new reasons all the time, but I just don't like the idea of birth control and/or condoms (unless there is some health reason, bc to help with cysts or condoms for somebody who has like HIV) and then my church doesn't like it either.
