If somebody told you, "I'm thinking of trying NFP/FAM (whichever you use), I want you to tell me the 3 most important things I should know about it, before I begin..." what would you say?

1) It works for me

2) It's a smidge more work to keep up with than say, the Depo shot, but not any harder than BC pills.

3) If your husband's not on board, it will be really hard to keep up with it.

The 3 most important things I would say are:

1. There are a lot of misconceptions about NFP/FAM out there. Don't believe everything your doctor, mother, friend tells you. Get the facts before you make up your mind.

2. In order for it to work, you have to know what you're doing. Take a course that teaches you what to do!

3. The easiest and most effective way to learn to use NFP/FAM is to take a course

1: Find the method of FAM/NFP that works for you.

2: Get proper training from an instructor.

3: Make sure your partner is on board with everything.

1) Find the method that works for you

2) You have to be very consistent, so what you start with, stick with

3) So much better and healthier for your body because it's natural. No drugs needed!

Find what works for you - I use BOM....

Find an instructor

NFP doesn't require temping but does require abstinence.

1. There are a lot of health benefits to NFP/FAM that really aren't proclaimed in the general public, so I think it is a great idea.

2. It takes work to learn it (an instructor, time, patientice, etc.), but actually once you know how it works putting it into practice isn't as hard as others make it sound..

3. You SO really needs to be on board or it won't work out well.
