I do have a question though.

Is it too early to start a period right now? Earlier I had some VERY faint spotting, and I'm having some mild cramping like AF is about to show. With my temp dip, I'm wondering if she's going to show today. I'll guess I'll know for sure after tomorrow's temp. It might just be a wonky one.

As a general rule, yes. But during the first few post partum, no. It's normal to have a really short LP the first few times around. You may find that it lengthens a little each cycle until it's a healthy length, possibly close to what it was before baby.
