I just weaned my son a week ago and started a new chart on FF on the day I weaned him. So CD1 on my chart is just the day I weaned him, not the first day of my period. (What's a period? I haven't had one since April '08). Anyway, when TTC my son I never noticed any EWCM at all, but last Friday and Saturday, I DEFINITELY had it! I'm pretty sure I didn't actually ovulate though. My temps are higher than they had been (they'd been 96.5 to 97.2), but I didn't have a thermal shift that coincided with the EWCM. So was this just my hormones gearing up? I'm ready to have AF and just be done with it!
Yes, could just be your hormones gearing up. Do you have a thermal shift at all (3 temps at least 0.2 higher than the previous 6)? The shift doesn't have to line up with the EWCM exactly. The link to your chart isn't working.
It's also normal to have more mucus after having a baby, especially if you had a vaginal delivery. When the cervix dilates and thins out, this creates more crypts where CM is produced.
I can't remember, are you hoping to TTC or TTA now?
I don't think there are enough temps to confirm ovulation and the mucus pattern doesn't seem to indicate it either, though FF doesn't really tell me enough about the CM pattern to make a good evaluation. All you can really do is wait and see, but I think this smells strongly of a "warm up," rather than actual ovulation.
No definitely not trying for #3 right now! I just started learning BOM when the baby was only a couple weeks old so since I haven't had AF yet I'm getting antsy and a little discouraged. But it's all good!!
