*laughs* Thanks guys! I'm kind of afraid to go overdue as they're more likely to push a repeat c-section if I do and I desperately want a VBAC!
The 15th would be an awesome birthday... as that's my dad's birthday. But ASAP is better!
I wish my water would just break though, lol. Every time I have the spurts of contractions I'm thinking "is it time yet? Is this it?" and then it never progresses. I don't know what it's like to go into spontaneous labor (was unfortunately induced with my first), so I'm unsure if I'm going to recognize it or not, .
OH I SO hope you get your VBAC!!!! I had one and it was amazing....much better than a c section! I DEFINITELY knew when I was in real labor. I was in the early labor for 4 days and then when it hit it hit and I knew it. I did end up having to get Pitocin and all in all my labor was 23 hours long but worth it!!
I was induced with Caleb, but with Zoe I went on my own. I knew at once it was the real thing. They felt like AF cramps, then got steadily harder and harder and close together - and they came like clockwork. Some will get so bad that you literally have to stop walking and they're right when they tell you that it's hard to talk through.
I started at 4:30 being 20 minutes apart and my 8am, they were 3-5 minutes apart and coming stronger and lasting a minute sometimes longer.
The rule of thumb is 5-1-1. 5 contractions in 1 hour lasting 1 minute.
As I said in the other thread, squats are good, side-walking (like Shawna said), and I even did some cervical checks thinking that maybe touching would get it going. LOL. Yeah, I was desperate. I was just so uncomfortable.
I was in labor with AJ starting the night of the 1st and he game the night of the 5th! Not fun. I tried everything from sex, pineapple, spicy food, climbing our stairs to our apartment at the time (in 100 degree August weather), walking around Walmart, etc.
Good Luck! I hope she comes soon!. My niece's bday is tomorrow and she came the day after I left to go back to college. LOL!
PM to see if I am available to make a siggy - decisions will be made on a case by case basis.
Well I had a lot of preterm labor then after being on bed rest for 7 weeks (31 weeks to 38 weeks) the doctor said the baby could come. At 39 weeks I was still very pregnant and my doctor said he was going to induce on my duedate because of my fluid build up. I didn't want to be induced and I was still having contractions all the time, but it seemed like whatever the doctor gave me for the preterm labor had kind of like stalled my cervix from dialating anymore lol. He had told me once my water broke it would probably dialate more. (I was at a 4 since 34 weeks lol) we had tried everything we could think of and my brother came up with that as a last resort on easter. I didn't think it had worked until we walked in the house and I sat on the bed, but had to get up when my phone rang. As soon I stood up 'woosh' I was so excited lol.
Well got back from my midwife appt today. I'm 2cm dilated! I'm very happy about that because the last two appts I wasn't dilated ANY. I know 2cm isn't much, but at least it's something! She also stripped my membranes, so *cross fingers* that it causes something, lol.
Been feeling pretty lousy today though. Really nauseous and queasy... a little faint, and my back is *killing* me. :-/
Uh oh. Back labor huh? That sucks. Is she turned the right way?
I had my membranes stripped with Zoe, and 5 days later, she was born. I lost TONS of my mucous plus over the course of 2-3 days before I had her, and I was feeling her descend lower and lower each day. I never felt weird or anything, more uncomfy than anything. The day before i had her, I went shopping with my mom and she kept asking me if I was ok, and I told her I was, just really uncomfy and crampy. Turned out my attitude was changing and I hadn't even known it.
