Okay so this morning when I first woke up my cm was milky/lotiony...but after I went to the bathroom and all throughout today it has just been nothing, just a little damp...so do I chart as milky/lotiony or nothing? I have heard that you chart the most fertile cm of the day, but I could have sworn that my book said something about charting whatever your cm was at 6 p.m. (which it isn't 6 yet, but still)...maybe I just dreamed that or something though.

You're supposed to chart your most fertile observation. Have you O'd yet? I always noticed I got very lotiony white or yellow CM in between O and my period.

I *think* I o'd on Monday, but Im not sure because the cm was milky looking but also stretchy...and I wasn't temping at the time so I am only going by cm.

You always take the most fertile CM of the day.

I don't think you've O'd yet. You don't have any dry days, so consider yourself fertile until you do have dry days.

See thats why I am so confused....yesterday was a dry day and today has been except that one tiny bit this morning at around 6 a.m.

Thats why I was wondering how I should chart today because it was only that one little bit and the rest of today I have only been damp, but no cm at all besides that tiny bit this morning.

If you see it, you have to chart it - that's the philosphy I go by. However, if tomorrow you find that you are dry, then potentially today's Cm may have just been a fluke. I'd still chart it as lotiony, see what tomorrow brings and go from there.

This thread taught me something, but I have nothing productive to add to it!

Okay thanks! Yea today is completely dry, so I guess yesterday was just a fluke....well, I say completely dry but what I mean is no CM what-so-ever, I keep feeling wet (like I peed my pants) but when I go to the restroom there is no cm there, just dampness. Ugh I wish the implanon hadn't screwed my body up so much...I used to have straight on 28 day cycles every time I was the textbook case of 'normal'

A feeling of wetness *is* the mucus - even if there's nothing to see. You can't ignore that! The vulva is so sensitive you can feel mucus as a sensation of wetness or lubrication even when there isn't enough to see with the naked eye. I would be very skeptical that you're past ovulation if you're noticing wet feelings.

It is fairly simple to go by CM only, but I'd highly encourage you to learn how from a certified instructor. It will help you understand what everything means, how to chart it correctly, and how to recognize the difference between a mucus progression that happens when your body tries to ovulate...and the mucus progression that happens when ovulation is successful.
