I am 14 weeks postpartum and I started my period yesterday. I am so not ready to deal with this! I know that I have to use protection, and that isn't an issue for me. I just don't want to worry about periods! I am EBF and nurse 10x or more a day! I feel really cheated! lol! If I were to stops giving my son pacifiers and start letting him nurse for comfort (more info on that would be appreciated, because my milk comes in every time he nurses, even when it's just for comfort) would that make my period disappear again?

It could make AF disappear, but not likely. Usually once the ovarian hormones are fluctuating enough to bring AF back, the prolactin from BFing isn't enough to suppress them again.

You wouldn't be able to count on LAM though, you could only consider yourself infertile if your daily observations indicate it.

I felt the same with with my first three!! I EBF and got AF back at 3 mo pp. I too felt soooooooooo cheated! I'm convinced if I wouldn't have had mastitis twice (ironically AF 28 days later) I never would have had the two periods I had before we started weaning. Everyone is different and so is each baby.

I bled for a few weeks after my c/s and then got my first PPAF at 11 weeks PP. Thankfully it wasn't super regular but it was certainly back and in business. I was so upset as one of my SIL was PPAF free for almost 3 years!!
