But I am hoping maybe one of you has some insight.

I had my son on 5/24/11 and he is BF. I EBF'd DD until she was 18 months old and I ovulated for the first time after having her when she was 11 1/2 months old. She nursed for 30-90 minutes at a time, every 30 to 90 minutes during the day and slept through the night by the time she was 6 weeks old and my cycles didn't return until she was only nursing 2x's per day.

Anyway, with DD, I was always very dry and never had much of a sex drive up until I was ovulating again . This time, my son nurses MUCH less than DD ever did (I think the longest he has ever nursed in one sitting was MAYBE 20 minutes) and I am having no issues in the sex drive or dryness department and I am just curious on if this has any impact on when I can expect my cycles to return.

Right now, DH and I are using LAM/pull-out as a means for birth control and I am also checking CM/CP daily to look for signs of ovulation. I want to be prepared if the *ahem* wetness and sex drive could be any indication of my cycles returning earlier than before or if there is just no way to tell for sure. Thank you for any input you can offer!

It certainly could affect the return of your fertility. If you meet all 3 conditions for LAM, the chance of pregnancy is only 2% though. You can rely on that until you no longer meet the conditions for LAM anymore if you want.

I think it does have an effect, but I also just think every time can be different.
