For the past couple days I have been having hot flashes whenever I nurse my baby (who is almost 5 months old). I know hot flashes are common when you are newly postpartum, but I'd never heard of in conjunction with sitting down and breastfeeding at almost 5 months pp... It's weird.
I also have been spotting on and off for months. Sometimes the spotting is tan/peachy, sometimes it's mucusy and more pink. Rarely if ever is it red or dark brown.
Just wondered if this stuff (especially the hot flashes while breastfeeding) indicates anything about my hormones that would help me tell whether I'm becoming MORE fertile, or quite infertile. Any input?
I also would like to stop these hot flashes if possible, so if there's anything I can do to make it go away, do share!! I do not like feeling sweaty and paranoid about BO all the time!
Thanks in advance
p.s. I am exclusively breastfeeding; She receives no supplements and she barely ever uses a pacifier.
Mom to Titus (10), Isaiah (8), Noelle (6), Joel (4), Hannah (2), and baby due Sept 10!
I have had hot flashes while breastfeeding of course, but Idk if I have had them later or not, I thought I had, had them. But after I sat and thought about it I wasn't sure. The spotting might be your body trying to return to a fertile state though. LAM isn't supposed to be considered effective if there is any blood past like 56 days or something.
