Have you ladies ever had stress seriously mess up a cycle? What did you do? Do you just keep temping & charting until you get a confirmed O?

I had a cortisone shot in my wrist last Monday, I was scared out of my mind about it, had to have a nurse hold my hand when they did it. I'm pretty sure that just FUBARed my cycle. IDK what its is doing anymore, 100% sure I will not get PG this cycle.

I don't know what to do at this point, there could be something wrong, or stress caused annovulatory bleeding. Is it possible this 'spotting' will basically restart my cycle and 18 days from the end of spotting I may O? I have to mark this 'spotting' as such so FF & TCOYF don't restart my cycles.

I'm so dissapointed, my last 2 cycles were great and now this one, when we are TTC is ruined.

Ive had probably 2 cycles where stressed delayed my O almost to the time I would start normally. I just continued temping and charting until AF showed.

Agreed, I would just keep temping and charting as normal. Hopefully it won't take your body that long to pick up and keep going from where it left off. Good luck!!

As far as I know I've never had stress mess up my cycle, they've done that on their own.

thanks ladies! yea, i guess my body could have done this on it's own, but I honestly think the stress from the injection threw things off. i had a feeling after i left the dr office it was going to affect things.

so annoying that it happens while TTC and not the 3 cycles we were TTA!

I had one cycle where I O'd days past when i expected AF, I'd had two stressful times in the early days of my cycle, and it just pushed it off.

you're having some very good looking cm though, maybe your temp will shoot up and you'll O

There's no rhyme or reason as to when my O will be delayed (at least, no reason I can figure out), but keep charting, and I bet your body will figure out that it needs to drop an egg soon. It's so annoying that our bodies love to do the opposite of what we want them to do.

Oh stress affects my cycle BIG time! And my instructor and I just figured out that it even affects it on a daily basis.

I was having what I thought were all "wet" days from af till O..which was like 17 days!! No way right? We discovered alot of the days I only experienced the wet sensation a couple times, and briefly. She said to take notice what was going on when I had them.

Each time I was stressed at that moment! Like something crazy happened at work and I was running to get an emergency med or something...I would have the wetness.

Kinda cool actually. And now my chart looks much more normal now that I know those aren't truly "wet" days.

Yes, this is what you do. You can't predict what your cycle is going to do, whether you will or will not ovulate, or when. Keep tracking. I've ovulated and conceived as late as day 56 before, but that's PCOS - not stress.

This isn't annovulatory bleeding. It's highly fertile because you're having all kinds of CM with it. It's called estrogen breakthrough bleeding. It will not restart your cycle. The only thing that restarts a cycle is ovulation, followed by menstruation. Any spotting or bleeding that happens up to that point is not the start of a new cycle.

It's not ruined. The cycle isn't even over yet.

thank you all ladies. you are so supportive to a crazy woman. not knowing why this is happening is just killing me. you are such a wealth of knowledge and your words make things seem OK when my brain is telling me it's the apocalypse cycle.

in the evenings i feel mucusy down there, it's really weird. please tell me you ladies know what im talking about? today was lighter bleeding than before, still required a panty liner but hopefully it's leaving town and we can get this show on the road.

i'm done with the OPK's, they are 100% negative, no line at all any more and it's confusing and disappointing me.

we BD last night, to DH's dismay at the pinkness he had to deal with. such a trooper.
