Typically, the day after my wettest/ slipperiest day I have a "drying out day", but I still have CM and feel a little wet. It's somewhere between my BIP and my really fertile stuff. It's a creamy/ gooey day (gotta love the TCOYF scientific terms). I always thought the last super slippery day was peak day, but my TCOYF chart is calling that "drying out day" peak day. So... which is it?

It depends on what you put in your settings, I think. There's a setting in there for how many "drying out" days you usually have before returning to your BIP, and I think that affects what it labels as your peak day.

I obviously need to play with my settings a little more because I don't have any of this. LOL. Hope you are able to figure it out soon!

I actually didn't notice this was even an option until I signed up for the Attain Fertility Planner. While trying to figure out how to link my chart I stumbled across it.

mwahahaha! I found it! Thanks for the tip And I love how much faster the attainfertility website works. It took me forever to make my chart look pretty, though. Seriously, they can't give me every possible color choice for every little part and expect me to just be able to just go with it, lol.

Mine is doing this too! Both attain and tcoyf.. it's always chosen an earlier day!
I mean.. to quote them:
Cervical fluid "dries up" shortly after ovulation -- becoming less fertile or disappearing completely. This setting specifies the number of days of dry-up that must be observed after your peak day before ovulation can be identified.
so why is my peak day today... and you gave me an O day already.... and I'm on dry day 3.....
Never happened before this cycle. Did the rules of fertility change this year? LOL

Well, I changed the setting, but it still didn't change peak day on my chart. Oh well, these online charting tools are just that: tools. Sometimes they do things that don't make sense.
So peak day is for sure the last super slippery day?
Man, that brings about a whole new list of questions. What if I were to stay in that creamy phase for a few more days? My chart is kind of strange this month, because today is actually kind of wet (still not peak day wet, but still not BIP). My temp was way down the first time I took it, but when I took it again about an hour later, it was back up. But it's still one of those slow rise patterns. And I only had one morning positive OPK (and I know the morning ones tend to give false positives). So I don't know. I don't like the months without a major thermal shift. These step up patterns drive me crazy, like my O wasn't strong or something. Okay, rant over.

My chart's weird... DH is going tobe upset. lol. He decided it was a good month to give a real go at "practice"... and didn't pull out.. and my temps are below what was my coverline, but that's disappeared now. *sigh*
I've O'd... I can feel it... but still frustrating. I like to know when to start testing! LOL

The only reason I charted at all this month was so that I would know when to test, other than that we took a ntnp approach. But I'm not completely convinced of O, so I need to keep charting for a few more days. Grr...

With Billings, Peak is the last day with any slippery sensation at all - even if it's not super slippery. When you go from being *any* kind of slippery to not slippery anymore, then you can do back and mark Peak. It's normal to have some CM during the drying up days, but the clincher is the change from lubrication to no lubrication.
However, TCOYF may have a different definition of what constitutes Peak - so go with that. Always go with the guidelines that are consistent with the method you're using!

I was going to say something similar (but probably not as good) as what Shawna said, but she's been here, so I'm useless
