I asked because a week ago yesterday my kids started swim lessons. This lady (seeing that I'm obviously pregnant) struck up a conversation with me (because she was less obviously pregnant) while our kids were swimming. She was 16 weeks along. Then yesterday having forgot that conversation over the week, or her face or something I stuck my foot in my mouth.

She held the gate to the kiddy pool open for me so she could tell me part 2 of her story at the pool yesterday. She said the words "I lost my baby over the weekend." I thought she was making a reference to having her like a kid that wasn't there this time that had been there last time and kind of smiled and nodded (it wasn't exactly like I SAID anything, but totally the wrong reaction to what she meant.) She then went into more detail and the meaning of what she said suddenly smacked me in the face and I was like (IDIOT, you don't smile at somebody loosing their baby, I just didn't realize what she said.) And I was having a hard time shaking it for the day because I felt sad for her, 16 weeks is in the "safe" zone
