Do people ever make comments to you about NFP/FAM that annoy you when they aren't trying to be annoying?

I've had a few about how it's not really birth control that really bug me.

I've had someone tell me that unless I've already had a child it probably means I'm infertile if we're using these methods and not getting pregnant.

This is only sort of related, but almost every time I explain why I hate hormone birth control pills (not in a judgmental or debating way), I get the comment "Well, that's not my pill." It drives me crazy, but what can you do?

Not in a long time, no. I think the people in our lives have finally figured out that we're going to do what we want whether they approve or not.

I've had several people say it doesn't work for them because they are "super" fertile. When I some more about it, it seems like they never really did it correctly to begin with which was aggravating. They seem to think NFP doesn't work and feel like they have to "warn" me about it.

The inability for people to get that it isn't the rhythm method really bothers me.

The few people who know we use NFP assume we have a large family because NFP doesn't work. We have a lot of kids because we chose to NTNP, not because we're playing roulette and "lost". Our children are blessings from GOD and not proof that NFP doesn't work.

It is funny, though... several years and a few children ago the comment I would hear is "You're done now, right?" Now it is "when are you having another?"

Going right along with that is the line "Oh, I can't do that, my cycles aren't regular."

Urgh, yes, I always say "Ah, neither are mine." And then I list out the last few cycles I had and how they were always drastically different numbers (32, 38, 50, 26, etc.).
