Well, I may get induced on Monday. I'm not fully happy with the idea...but I'm not fully happy with the idea of waiting either...so uh, PROBABLY, the way I'm leaning atm (which has changed several times today) I will have a baby by the end of Memorial Day...hoping sooner so I don't have to make the decision though!

I have bad depression issues in pregnancy. Early in pregnancy I can cure them by napping or having a snack. At the end, that doesn't have any effect.

My throat hurts right now cuz I SCREAMED at dh earlier. He told Rock not to do something and I didn't appreciate the tone he had with Rock and I just went off on him.

Three times today I sobbed, and I don't just mean cried, I mean like HOURS later I can still feel the feeling around my eyes and eyelashes.

And right now? I'm totally fine. Like 100% fine. I feel happy and good. What on Earth? That doesn't happen.

So I went in today knowing we'd talk induction cuz today was my 39 week and that's when they talk about it. Sometimes it is just to say "So after 40 weeks you want to be induced at some point?" But sometimes they ask if you want to be induced. And I had already decided there was no reason to let myself go on feeling like this beyond my due date which is next Thursday.

However, it just so happens my midwife leaves for a while that day so she can't induce me Thursday. Which kinda sent me into a mental tailspin cuz that was the only option I was ready to say yes to, because I honestly don't believe I'll make it to my due date anyway.

When she said Monday, a mere 3 days earlier...I was all upset. I asked if she'd give me the number to call so I could cancel Sunday, and I have it. But I've calmed down now and I don't think I'm going to.

I was induced 9 days early with LJ, 3 days is nothing compared to 9. Amber sent me into labor 3 days before my due date, so I know my body can be ready by then.

I also know my cervix has changed in the past two days, I'm at the point where any more change would be labor. She did a membrane sweep (5th pregnancy, first time I've had that done) and I'm hopeful that I'll just not have to even make the decision and Terra will pick her own birthday...say Saturday is good for me? lol.

But 39 weeks 3 days, where I'll be Monday, is plenty. I know Terra's gunna be healthy by then, and my body is already ready in all other signs, so why go on tormenting myself and my family just because some other people don't believe in induction? *sigh*...I keep asking myself why it does bother me...and the fact is...it does...but I think maybe that's just the apprehension I'd have with any kind of birth. The difference is with natural labor I won't have time to feel it cuz I'll just be like "I'm having a baby" whereas here I'm like "Well...Monday I'm having a baby" and now that leaves time to think about it still.

Hoping that your little one makes an appearance on her own, and that if she doesn't, you will be at peace with whatever option you need to choose.

I'm sorry you're so miserable! I'm glad there's a light at the end of the tunnel though (or at least you have that choice). Hopefully she decides that she doesn't want to be evicted and will just come out on her own. It's so exciting that this is your last weekend pregnant!

I was thinking I might be in labor earlier. I just went and took a shower to see if I could get my body to knock it off, cuz I have also decided she'll never decide to come on her own, since I'm constantly contracting and doing nothing. So I'm waiting to see if my shower knocked it out or if I might actually be wrong and she might decide to come on her own...cross your fingers lol.

I sure hope it's real labor! I can't imagine everything you're going through with the end of pregnancy depression and taking care of your family. You've been in my T&P!

I hope she comes on her own before Monday!!!!! Lil stinker, she's not even here yet and she's giving you grey hairs!

It's baby #5 for you, so I won't bother asking if you've done all the usual labor helpers. LOL

I honestly don't do most of them, because I know they'll just bring on more of the fake stuff and I already have enough.

But it is 8 hours til induction time right now. And since my last phone call to my mom said "Yes, I need you here at about 6:15am" that means I must be going through with it. I had more back and forth today...but I'm done with it...this is it. She's ready, I know it. I'm for sure ready. So I'm just gunna trust God will take care of me here.

Lots and lots of easy labor vibes for you tomorrow Christen! And I just got a chance to read your reply about your induction and I totally understand where you are coming from and can completely sympathize with you. I had my c/section 3wks and a day early with Megan and I know I was so miserable by that point that I know my next pregnancy I will probably be begging for induction way before 40wks.

Did you have it for medical reasons that early? Cuz they've changed the rules in the last few years almost everywhere in the U.S. and now you can't c-section or induce before 39 weeks without a medical reason. It seemed pretty common place for planned c-sections to be at 38 weeks for a long while...guess not anymore.

I think facebook has changed the way they do photos so much I can't share with you guys unless you are my facebook friend, so I won't be doing photos here at JM until I'm home, but I should be home tomorrow. I'm not sure that means they'll be up by tomorrow, but certainly no later than Friday (possibly I'll get ambitious and get them up tonight even.)

LOL there are ways, but they're not always easy. Best way is right click and copy the image url and just paste it on jm, but instead, just snuggle that new little baby!!!!!

Have the kids gotten to see her yet?

Yeah, I kept asking my parents to come over during the labor, but they were in no hurry, since, well you read the birth story I saw from the "like" so you know I thought it was going incredibly slow and then boom it caught right back up to the speed I had planned. So they were there at about Idk 7:45pm yesterday...and much to my parents surprise I was nursing then lol. But the kids were with my parents

LOL yah, when I lurk or stalk I tend to "like" rather than reply. I hate wondering if people think I'm crazy for being all over and commenting on things.

I'm glad she is nursing so easily. Neither of my aunts girls would take to the breast at all.. and she never got much pumping.

Glad you and baby are doing so well! It's like she kept saying "No mom, I want to stay right here thank you very much" then all of a sudden she decided "fine, I'll come, but I'm going to make a dramatic entrance!"

I developed pre-e at the end. I was bordering it from 29 wks on but was able to hold out until 36 and 6.
