I just heard, and Idk if it is true or not, but I heard that more babies are born on Tuesdays then any other day. I wonder, has anyone ever heard if more babies are conceived on a certain day of the week?

Hmm...

For my family births were big on Monday's and Friday's. We have 2 babies born on Tuesday.

Not sure about conception.... if I was to guess it'd be Friday's. LOL

Looks like there's a little research to back it up: CBS - Most babies born in the middle of the week - Web magazine

I wonder if weekend births are lower because doctors don't do inductions or c-sections then (like the article said, fewer staff). If it just went by those who went into labor on their own, I'm sure it would be pretty evenly spaced. Still, pretty random!

That's a good point..about c-sections and inductions. I guess the studies would have to be women who went into spontaneous labor, not anyone who had a scheduled birth, to get a really good look at the natural way of things.

I want to give birth on a Friday afternoon, that way DH can spend the weekend with me and then go back to work on Monday. LOL. I'm pretty convinced I can survive on my own as long as I don't have to worry about Reme for a bit.. he can take some time off once he can schedule it (like I'd rather him not have time off while I'm still pregnant, I'd rather him get to spend the time with the baby) All his FMLA leave with Reme was while the kid was in the NICU, he didn't get to spend ANY time with him when they brought him home.

I've been induced on a Saturday, I've also had 5 kids and 0 on Tuesdays

Saturday is a higher conception day I'd say, well at least the DTD part, I know at least one of mine was a Saturday.

My last two births were both Mondays, of 7lbs 9oz baby girls who were 20.5 inches actually.

I think it's interesting they were the same gender, weight and length.

My brother and were were 1/2 oz or inch off each other. One was 7lbs4.5oz 19" and the other was 7lbs4oz and 19.95"... and oh wow... I just looked it up, both born on Fridays!

**oh, and I know I was conceived on a Sunday

I don't know about births and conceptions. I know that for me, Marsi was conceived on a Sunday and born on a Monday. I think that the DTD for conception would be more likely on a weekend.
