I learned NFP when I was 20 but started using it for family planning reasons at 23.

I went on BCP at 15 for heavy periods, stopped after a couple months because it wasn't that important to me at the time as I wasn't sexually active and it didn't help AF much.
Went on BCP again at 19 when I started dating DH in 2006, off in Oct 2011 to WTTC and now we are TTC.  So happy i got off BCP so early compared to our TTC timeline, my body is taking a while to figure itself out.

Aside from barrier methods, I started using FAM at 21. No BCP before that.

Started learning NFP at 21, started sort of using it after our wedding when I was 22. We were more NTNP, so I wasn't super strict about charting. No other BC ever.

I've only used FAM to avoid pregnancy, but I was on hormonal stuff to allegedly help my female issues on and off starting at age 15.

I started to use the rythm/calander method and LAM at 18. I didn't know a lot about either so surprise surprise I got pregnant while BFing my 6.5 mo who had just started solids, took a paci, and had my cycles return for at least three mo.  Back then though, there really wasn't a lot of information going around about LAM/NFP/FAM. TCOYF had JUST come out with its software and I actually used the free version before they had the pay for version.

I went on the BC pill when I was 20, right before we got married. I honestly did not think I had any other choice sadly. Had I known about NFP back then, maybe things would have been different!
Been using LAM since our first, and NFP since our 2nd.

Pill from 16-23. Went on it for too frequent periods and awful immobilizing pain during cycles. Dr at tge time couldn't find why so sge put me on the pill. I wasn't Catholic yet.
Read TCYOF book prior to wedding bt didn't use it. Tried to use it when I stopped the pill into2005 but didn't successfully avoid with it. Leaened BOM when AJ was 7a month old.

Pill at 15 for acne off and on until I was 18 and then since DH and I were married I told him no more hormonal stuff and started learning NFP/FAM at 18 and have been using it for 4yrs. Strictly using it for 18 months though.

I started using birth control when I turned 15 and became sexually active. I knew I didn't want to risk getting pregnant while a teenager. I stopped using hormonal birth control after I got the depo shot in 2007 which followed by recurrent losses. After I finally got pregnant and had my son we started using NFP in 2009

I started BCP at almost 17 and stayed on them until a few months short of 19, then stopped for about a year and a half. I started them again at 20 after dh and I started dating and used them until the end of May/beginning of June this year, at nearly 23, when I started practicing FAM.
