I had updated that I started my period, leaving me with an 8 day LP. Well, apparently, I was wrong. I had red spotting on the 6th, brown spotting yesterday and sticky CM today mixed with a bit of brown. When I say spotting, what I mean is that I saw blood if I stuck TP up there, so I didn't even need so much as a pantyliner. The thing that confused me the most is I had a temp drop that would indicate a period.
So this morning, I woke up so dizzy that I had to call my husband home from work. Like, holding onto walls dizzy. Took an OPK and it is BLARING positive. I took a $store test yesterday that was negative, but I am going to pick up a better test today.
I just cannot figure this out. My temp is too low for me to think I am actually pregnant but all other signs point to it. The + OPK would indicate O, but I am having no other signs of that. I seriously hate this cycle.
I don't even know what kind of help I am asking for...I guess just reassurance that this is all normal or something?
HPT was negative, OPK's are still very, very positive.
Ashley (Plan4fate) suggested that maybe my body geared up to O before and now, what I am having is actually withdrawal bleeding from the estrogen, rather than a period and that I am gearing up to O again. I guess it could be ovulation bleeding, too. Today, it did get pretty red at one point and when I peed, the toilet was red. That has since tapered off and I am back to hardly any spotting at all. This has been the most frustrating cycle ever. I was so happy to have been done with it, and now I feel like I am back at square one. I am having sharp pains on my left side, so I am hoping to see a temp rise confirming ovulation or a full red flow, confirming AF.
LOL I'm full of ideas! I tell ya, I should have been a doctor, I think I'd make a pretty great OB... I bet I'd have amazingly high vaginal birth rates!

I agree with Ashley, I don't see O confirmed on your chart, so I think you probably geared up and may be ovulating now. That spotting you're having is considered very fertile, as fertile as EWCM. My temp usually crept down just before O, so maybe that's what's happening for you. That would be my guess Hopefully you'll see a nice thermal shift soon, or you get a nice BFP and all of your questions will be answered Good luck!
Thanks! I am having no signs of fertile CM. Yesterday, I had lots of AF type cramping and got some red blood that was enough to actually show on a pantyliner for, oh, maybe an hour? So I can't mark it as anything BUT spotting on my chart. Today, CM is super sticky and brown again with negative OPK.
I am at a point where I am pretty over it all. I can't change whatever is happening and I don't want to keep obsessing over something I have no control over. I was at my wits end yesterday but I have no choice but to just wait and see...again.
I still am completely baffled by your cycle. I'm glad that it isn't stressing you out though and hope in the next couple of days things will make more sense!
Lucy I'd had a theroy with her chart that WOULD confirm an O... but obviously it was wrong. LOL.

My theory is that since your chart is looking shockingly normal this month, you passed along the "uhh... what the heck is going on with my body" curse
Shelley, don't worry about one crazy cycle (I know that's easier said than done). I had some doozies and I had been off of hormones for a long while. I hope they regulate soon for you, though! I know it can be incredibly frustrating.
Spotting can occur any time estrogen rises (breakthrough) or falls (withdrawal). When ovulation hasn't been confirmed yet and you suddenly have spotting again, it's considered highly fertile - as your OPK confirmed! This is especially true if you notice feeling very wet or slippery.
Is there any way you can keep this as one long cycle and not start a new one? If you do experience a thermal shift, you might miss it because the pre-ovulatory temps are back on the old chart.
