Hi!! I am new to this forum but not to JM. My name is Kristin and I am the proud mom to 6 children. I had used the Clearblue Easy Fertility monitor to help with conceiving three of my children. With my youngest I only dtd once, the day before I got my first peak reading. Now I am back on the TTC bandwagon. I had gotten a very positive opk on July 29 and my first peak July 30, most usually ovulate by the second peak. But after about 8-9 minutes, I had used the restroom. I have read a lot of conflicting information, some say two days before ovulation is most fertile day, few say day before and day of What's your opinion? I do not do BBT as I wake up too often at night

Since it takes a while for sperm to make it to the fallopian tubes, having sex before ovulating carries a greater chance of conception. Conception can happen the day of ovulation as well. With OPKs and the monitor, it tells you of the hormones before ovulation. So having sex on the peak days could result in a pregnancy as well as a day or 2 before the peaks. I don't know the actual statistics as to which is better, but if you just continue to have sex during your fertile time, you could get pregnant.

The last day when you notice slippery or lubricative mucus is the most fertile day, regardless of how that coincides with your monitor readings for Peak. But the days leading up to Peak and the 2 days after are still highly fertile.

I don't know anything that hasn't been shared already, though "HI " but I do know that I've conceived before and after peak.
