Let me preface that I'm sorry for the bit of tmi

OK so here I sit still bleeding 9 days after I started. Now I also happen to be 57 days pp. Yesterday my bleeding got heavier and clotty here and there. Does this make a difference in my fertility or no? I had begun to cramp more this weekend and that's when I noticed whatever this is pick up more and started doing what my normal af does, clots. I've reached the point that I no longer care what type of bleed this is, I just want it to be over already. I had lochia discharge of the heavier nature for 2-3 weeks pp with a slow down to a fluctuation spot/flow between weeks 3 and 5. I finally got a small break for a few days between weeks 5 and 6, then by week 7 this crap started. I'm so done with this all.

If it continues into tomorrow or the day after, then unfortunately you have to consider it a sign of returning fertility instead of just lochia. 56 days is the cut off, but one extra day isn't a big deal. If you're still bleeding a few days past that, can't take chances and assume it's lochia. The heaviness doesn't determine whether it rules out LAM or not though, the timing does. Some women have a very heavy bleed before 56 days is up and are still in LAM, but this seems to be cutting it a little too close.

Day 58 still having a light bleed/spotting. Thanks Shawna. I'll just play it safe and assume it's fertility returning already. Maybe my age is factor. LOL The ob did consider me AMA cause I'm the ripe old age of 35 oh the horror. lol
