Okay. This is my first cycle temping and checking CM. This morning at 4:00am, like usual, I took my temp and it was 96.1. That is pretty low for me. The last few days my temps have been around 96.8 or 96.9. It was about 5-6 degrees cooler in my house this morning since we had a cold night and I thought maybe that was why. I ended up going back to sleep for about 30-40 minutes and temped again. My temp was 96.8..which temp should I use. Will the outside temp being 5-6 degrees cooler matter? Is 96.1 my real temp??? Between temps I did get up and walk to the thermastat and then got right back in bed and slept until temping again...

I'm not an expert, this is just what I would do... I'd record the actual temp and keep a note for myself that it is possibly disturbed. I wouldn't think a change in room temperature of just a few degrees would make that much difference, and there are other possible reasons why a temp might be out of line. After a few days you can go back and see if/how it fits with the overall pattern and decide whether to keep it or mark it disturbed. Either way I wouldn't use the 2nd temp but maybe make a note of it in case that info is useful later on.
