I'm fairly certain I ovulated a few days ago. I went from super slippery and EWCM to practically dry within a short period of time and I had a strong positive OPK. I'm not temping so I don't know for 100% sure, but I'd be pretty surprised if AF didn't show up. So I'm wondering how long your first pp luteal phase was. I'd like to get an idea of when AF might show up.

As bummed as I am that AF will be showing up soon, I can't really complain about her staying away for 8 months. I was hoping for at least 6, so the last 2 months have just been a bonus. Plus we'll probably start TTC again in the spring so it'll be good to give my body a few months to get back on track. Plus the weeks upon weeks of potentially fertile times was getting kind of old.

lovely post-partum transition... isn't it great? LOL! I've had LPs as short at 5-6 days for the first cycle post-partum (except when I got pregnant that first O) but there really isn't any way to predict. Generally, you can expect very short LPs that get a little longer each cycle until they normalize.

HTH and good luck!

With the exception of this PP experience I've always had normal LPs that I've known of. Right now though they have been 6-7 days.

Well it was only 4-5 days. Woah! Good thing I have plenty of time for them to get longer before we start TTC in the spring!

Well, now you know. I'm always relieved when that first pp AF shows up... even when we have been TTC or NTNP, it sure makes charting easier.

My first one was 6 days, then they increased to 8 and now are 10. I just found out I had developed hypothyroidism though, so that's why mine are still pretty short. It would be so nice to have a normal luteal phase, short ones stink!!

i'm pretty sure i o'd 9 days ago, and i'm still waiting on my first ppaf. (also, hpt's are neg so far-- i'm a poas addict!) anyway, what would be "normal"? 10-14?

****edit- thought id update since my first ppaf came today at 13 dpo. i guess this varies, just like everything else.

i will say that from cd8 to cd19 with the exception of cd 10 and cd 16 where it was egg white. that it was slightly more thick, not really lotion but not as slippery i guess you could say as the past 4 days. I guess i could just be having a particulary long cycle but that just seems crazy long to me?
