Hi ladies, I have been away for some time. I had my twins and I am 6 weeks PP. I am having some breakthrough spotting but I would say my true PP bleeding ended a week or two ago. I am wondering, even though we needed MA to get the twins, I cannot handle another pregnancy right now so we are planning to TTA like hell. We havent DTD for 7 months and I want to resume relations when we have a spare moment LOL. Do I consider myself fertile right now? I am not BF it just didnt work, i was pumping occasionally up until a few days ago but that is done now.

I am planning to resume charting, no temps as uh... newborn twins, nuff' said. But just CM & OPKs, when my cycle comes back so we can at least not have to use condoms the whole month.

Congratulations on your twins!!!

One of my friends needed medical assistance to get pregnant the first time so they didn't bother with birth control after her son's birth, and now she's due with #2 a day after her son's first birthday. It's crazy how that can happen!

You need to consider the spotting fertile, but the good news is since you're not bf'ing your cycle will likely return to normal pretty quickly, which should make it easier to track.

I agree what the other ladies have said question though I thought anything up to 56 days PP was considered PP bleeding?

hm... i didn't know that, i only had 2 days of red spotting and back to NOTHING! so guess it wasn't AF, my OBGYN said for about 6 mos I could have random spotting and bleeding with no apparent 'cycle', living in pantyliners, fun times!

That only applies if all of baby's nutrition comes directly from the breast (not even pumped milk).

i will say that from cd8 to cd19 with the exception of cd 10 and cd 16 where it was egg white. that it was slightly more thick, not really lotion but not as slippery i guess you could say as the past 4 days. I guess i could just be having a particulary long cycle but that just seems crazy long to me?

No, and you can only consider the first 56 days as a time of infertility if you are Totally Breastfeeding (meaning no bottle, no pumping, etc...).
