Hi there! I thought that this would be the best place to ask my question as you guys seem to know cycles and fertility better than most

Today is CD 16 and I've gotten + opks all day (10am, 1pm, 6pm) along with cramping and a bit of nausea and heartburn. I've also had EWCM since CD 13

If DH and I had sex on the evening of CD 14, as well as this morning (CD 16), what do you think the chances are of conception? I realize it's a broad question and obviously no one can really predict this, but, in theory? I don't temp unfortunatly.

Also, I have a question about sperm B) Once in the warm enviornment of moi how long can they live? Would the sperm from the sex on CD 14 still be viable?

I apologize if these questions seem amature to you.....they are!

When mucus is present, it can keep sperm cells alive up to 5 days. When no mucus is present, sperm cells die within a very short time, about 30 minutes or so.

Yep. 3-5 days on average, sometimes longer given ideal circumstances. When I was reading some studies on NFP they had at least two cases where the sperm had lived for 7 days. Personal experience: 5-6 days.
