I don't know where to post this

I am 4 months (tomorrow ) PP and EBF. I have not had a PP AF, and we have been practicing LAM.

So, my question. The other night I had some bright red spotting that went on through the night (not enough for any "protection", though), and then tapered off the next day to brownish/pinkish and then through that night and the next as a little bit of pink everyonce and a while. Now, nothing.

I am crampy, and moody- I was sure AF was coming by the way I've been feeling lately. Is this "normal" PP "AF-ish" stuff, or? I'm confused.

TIA

Yes, it's normal post partum stuff - BUT it also means you can no longer rely on LAM. The guidelines for LAM state that there is a less than 2% chance of pregnancy if:
1. Baby gets all nutrition at the breast
2. Baby is under 6 months of age
3. Mom has had no bleeding since her lochia stopped Yes, spotting counts!

The spotting means your hormones are fluctuating and your fertility is trying to return. Your moodiness and cramping also coincide with that. Both can occur due to the rising and falling of estrogen as it warms up to return to it's usual function! You might have a withdrawal bleed for your first PPAF, or you might ovulate before you have your first period. Time to pull out ye olde charts!
