Right, I am starting to fertily chart using FF, checking CM a BBT. We are also using condoms, but I am very new to this!

So any advice would be fantastic!

Also when I do get into temping will it be safe to have unprotected sex? What sort of times on my cycle ect....

Also I am struggling to do my BBT in the morning after 3 hours sleep without moving, my DS wakes a coupld of times in the night, and I struggle to get back to sleep and normally need the loo or some thing silly! Does this make a considerable differnce? And suggestions on other ways of doing it?

Sorry if some of this is really silly, just like I said I am very new to it. When i went to join my new Dr's the other day the nurse laughed when I said I was fertilty charting, and put alot of pressure on me to go back on the pill. Insuinating that because I am young there is no way I can do it! So I suppose I kind of want to prove her wrong lol

TIA

You certainly CAN do this and can easily learn the rules for avoiding pregnancy so that condoms are not necessary! Trying to figure it all out on your own can be very confusing and is less likely to be effective, I highly reccomend learning from a certified instructor! If you need any help locating an instructor in your area, just let me know and I would be happy to assist you!

What?! the nerve of that nurse!
I know, when I went to the doc last I said I made a choice not to be on pills anymore and said I was charting. She looked at me like I was a dumb kid and said- you know there is a chance of pregnancy. I just let it slide... I hate hormones and docs that think they know ALL!!

Anyway, I've just track my days on Fertility Friend and list my CM for the day, I don't even temp and I haven't even had a pg scare in the last year. We don't use condoms either- just pull out... and we are fine.

Just do a lot of research and stick with it. The CM is what I go by. It depends on the length of your cycle. I have a textbook 29-30 day cycle and we are safe within day 1-12 and 17-30. We wait until my CM dries up after O and then I know I'm good and not fertile. Hope that helps! Just keep coming back here and asking questions.

sweety, you certainly can do this!!! I do agree with Shawna, that doing a course with a certified instructor is a good idea. i did one back when we were thinking about TTC, and it really helped. For me personally, I know that between CD 9-17 I need to use some form of protection, or abstain altogether. Well that is how it was for me last time anyway, but we're using condoms now until I am able to make sure my cycle is in a regular pattern (and i'm glad we did this cycle, because i have ovulated two days later than I used to, pre pregnancy/pre going on the pill!).

I was quite surprised y/day when I went to talk to my doctor & she was really excited that I was going "au naturel" as she put it..

I would love to have a certified instructor! Never heard of them over here in UK, are there any?

Well I joined FF and am struggling remembering to temping, and CM I struggle with, I can see a change but some times find it hard to decide what to say it is.. if that makes sense! My AF are so irregular too, I never know when I am due on, the amount of times I POS! Can't wait to get into charting and now when to expect it!!

Can anyone recomend any good books that might help?
