I am on day 10 of my cycle.

I am having bad cramping. It is like period cramps. It even hurts to have sex. Like he is hitting my crevix. Oh it hurts. I only cramp before and during AF. Never in the middle of my cycle. (After the baby atleat, I don't remember before since I didn't chart)

I have heard that you can cramp when ovulating. Could that be it? Does that pain last a couple days. I have had this pain for 2 days and today I am having a slippery/stringy day. I usually don't have this day till around cd 14 though.

I am clueless

Yes, you can totally have cramping at ovulation - it's called Mittleschmerz, or "middle pain." The exact cause of the pain can be: the follicles being stimulated in the ovary (occurs days prior to ovulation), the egg rupturing through the ovary, or the fallopian tubes contracting as they propel the ova along towards the uterus in the hopes that it will meet sperm along the way! There is no way to know if you're cramping for one of those reaons or all of them. Mittleschmerz is often one-sided pain, but can radiate througout the lower abdomen and back like menstral cramps. It's not unusual for it to last few days.

For what it's worth, I never had ovulation pain until after my first baby. Those first few ovulations post partum were painful, and then not anymore after that. It's happened with each baby - pain with ovulation during the first few cycles. I guess because our ovaries are out of practise, like working a muscle that hasn't been worked in a long time. LOL
