Hi all! I'm Sara, 22, engaged to Zack, 28, and mommy to Gemma, 2.5. I've been on hormonal BC since I was 15 and as you can tell by my siggy did not have much success with it. Anyway, I have had major problems with the hormones in the past couple years since DD was born. I got my IUD out today and I want to try temping and charting. I signed up on fertility friend and bought a basal body thermometer. But my understanding of everything is still very vague. I'm relocating 500 miles away in a few days so signing up for a class is not an option right now. Can you give me some clues and recommend a book or two? Thanks! I look forward to getting to know you all better!

I recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It is very easy to understand. It's where I initially learned about NFP.

Welcome! Taking Charge of Your Fertility is a good start. There are also online and correspondance courses you can take on your own time. Be careful with Fertility Friend, it's not really designed for avoiding pregnancy. Ovusoft is a really good charting software, it goes along with Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
