Non-menstrual bleeding should be considered potentially fertile. Is this fact or fiction?

(Non-menstrual means ovulation or Peak was NOT confirmed prior to the onset of the bleeding.)

If ovulation has not been confirmed, all bleeding or spotting should be regarded as potentially fertile (and the 3 days after it ends). Breakthrough bleeding is associated with ovulation and while the bleeding is generally lighter than menstruation, it can easily be mistaken for AF.

Here's a perfect example why:

This woman could have easily assumed she was infertile because she was bleeding. But what it turned out to be was breakthrough ovulation bleeding!
