Sperm cells live 24 hours. Is this fact or fiction?
The way I worded it lends itself to being both fact and fiction! When *any* cervical mucus is present - not just the most fertile kind, it can keep sperm cells alive in a woman's body as long as 5 days. Without the presence of cervical mucus, sperm cells cannot live very long in the acidic environment of a woman's vagina - approximately 30 minutes.
So it's a fact cuz they can live 24 hours....but it's fiction if you think that's the longest they can survive, cuz it can be up to 5 days!
