I must remember I use FAM and NOT NFP, I'm not sure why I get confused so much by the two, all of my work i have from the course I did clearly states FAM numerous times.

anyway with my little ramble to myself over I think that we ARE going to go back to using FAM, and am wondering if I am best to finish this cycle of BCP before starting with FAM again, or if I should just stop taking pills & get right back into the FAM swing of things tomorrow???

IF I just go straight back to FAM tomorrow
- can I expect that my next period may be a little early or late?
- would ovulation still occur on CD14 like it normally would for me? (i'm CD9 now)
- I am picking I'd be best to use barrier methods until I get my next period just incase?

Ah ok! Big difference then! To answer your questions:
- doesn't matter when you stop the Pill. It will be a bit of an adjustment no matter when you stop.
- there is no telling when you can expect menstruation. You will probably experience a withdrawal bleed within a few days of stopping the Pill though. This bleed can not be considered infertile!
- you cannot predict when ovulation will occur after stopping the Pill. You'll just have to track your fertility signs and see.
- barriers are entirely up to you and your partner. Bear in mind that they do come with significantly higher pregnancy rates than the Pill or NFP. There are several different ways to use FAM. Some couples choose to abstain during the fertile time and use barriers during the infertile time just to be extra cautious, and some couples choose to use barriers during the fertile time only and go natural during the infertile times. What you do while you are showing signs of fertility is entirely up to you.

thank you AGAIN Shawna!

I have just emailed the lady who I did my course through back when... Asking her for her thoughts, but i'm sure they'll mirror yours!!

We have been using 1 barrier method during the fertile times, but I think I might go to my doctor about getting a diaphragm or something, so there is an extra barrier in place.. Me & K are going to talk about it better next time he is here, and we may just decide to abstain during my fertile time

i'm glad this board is here!
