DH does everything on excel, however I have to admit, he IS a CPA, so he knows how to do all that. I can't figure it out for the life of me.

I had gone through the site. I t was very interesting and the forums posting are knowledge gaining. The financial budgeting is a plan for any firm, company, house or a particular independent to list all the incomes, liabilities, expenses and other related things regarding money. This should be maintained in a proper manner for maintaining successful budget. The cash is the main asset of the budget. I would like to thank the members of the forum for promoting the site.

I use an Excel spreadsheet that we made. Takes hubby's and my total income and then our expensses and gives us a green number for a "profit" or a red number for a deficit. It works well, was easy to do, and doesn't require any site to have my personal information (which was my issue with sites like mint.com and similar sites).

I use a google docs spreadsheet, which is very similar to excel (I don't have excel on my computer). I prefer to do it this way versus an online program like mint or other bank tracking programs because we use cash sometimes and also have many different accounts that we move money in between for savings and future expenses, so this way works best for us.

I have a column for the monthly budgeted items and then another column as to the actual amount spent. In between I have a space for notes so I can clarify in more detail if needed.

I used to use excel and have looked at mint. I just use good old fashion pencil and paper though and it seems to work for me . Let us know if you need more help.
