I've listed my bills for years/months. But my budget is always just whatever I end up spending. I haven't even planned, and only spent that amount, or put aside a certain amount. I think I'd like to try the envelope method for all but monthly bills and gasoline (since I like to use the card, so I don't have to take kids or sleeping babies out of the car to pay). Oh, and I didn't add that I'll need to start to include money for DH's lunch while at work. I don't know if it's going to be dinning, or brown bagging, or a combo of both.

I do not understand this. Is this 171, 171, 5933 also payments plus the 372 or what?

And wow property tax is killing you, where do you live? You also seem to be pushin negative, with that u need to get rid of cell phones and extras before u can even afford anything else.

171 is the minimum payment, 171 is what we usually pay, 5933 is the balance owed, we are past due on the account, so we need to pay 372 to get caught up.

So, I've updated my original post, because we finally got paid. So that reflects the correct monthly income.

$3,789
- 3,066.32
= 722.68 that is not dedicated to any expense each month, right?

We live in a tiny rinky dink town on 1,100 people. I don't know why our property taxes are so high.

I agree that the cell phones are an expense we don't need. But I can't convince DH of that. I only use mine occasionally when out, and for my planner. We have the family plan, and we gave DH's parents a phone for Christmas. So, if we got rid of it, it would make them get rid of theirs, too.

Income
Your income: 243
Dh/SO's income: 3789
total:$4032.00
Living expenses
~Rent/Mort pymt: 562.56$563 (just rounding up)
~Electric: 85 $85
~Home gas: 20$20
~Water: 35$35
~Cable/Internet/Phone: 125 $125
~Cell phone: 110$110
~Groceries: 400 $400 pretty good for family of five maybe check frugal moms board if you havn't to find more ways to save.
~Other household items: ?
~Car gas/transportation expense: 150?$150
~Car maintenance: ?
~Car insurance: 80 $80
~Other insurance: Mortgage: 108 $108
~Diapers: Cloth, should be 0, but I probably spend about $10 a month$10
~Pets: 40 $40
~Eating out: ?
~Entertainment: ?$50, $25 each and if he doesnt pack his lunch he can use his pocket money or t his to eat out.
~Spending/pocket money: ?$50, $25 for each of you.
~Misc spending: ?
~Other _Property Tax_: 109 $109, i think i read this as 1090 or something yesterday
~Other _Tithing__: 408.90$409
Left: $1688

~Other debt #1 __Consolidation Loan__: 653.86, 653.86, 50,000-ish, 8.5%

Left:$963 left for snow ball. The first month you need to save it all to Efund and when you will need just a bit extra out of next month to finish it. (plus the extra you have to pay for the late CC this month. Next you need to get that CC paid off at 22.15%. If you made sure to stick to only paying the above in the amounts and then building your efund, you could have it paid off in about 8-9 months. then u would have $1134 a month to pay on the loan. If you did that then in short of 3 years you could have all debit paid off and on your way to having the goals you wanted.

Try the envelope system and using cash...it really helps the over spending where not needed.
