Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Liz, mom to DS Emmett. I just quit my full time job to stay home with my baby. I earned slightly more than my husband so we are taking more than 50% of an income cut when I leave my job. So...as of 1 January (my last paid day is the 31st), we are starting a strict budget and I will be handing the family finances. I'm so glad to find this board and look forward to posting here and learning from you all!

Welcome! This is a great board and I'm looking forward to it picking up with the new year! Congrats on becoming a SAHM. I've been one for over 4 years now. It's hard and takes some planning, but so worth it! I'm Lynsey, mom to Ava (4) and Kai (1).

If the pay cut doesn't work well you may want to look into working part time from home. That way you're still bringing in some but you can still be home with your kiddo. I work full time from home and it's been great for that purpose. Just an idea. TONS of work at home positions out there as well.

Definitely make sure to have a written budget each month. It can (and should) change monthly, but make sure it's written out and account for everything otherwise it won't work out so well.

Good luck! Hope it works out for you guys!
