Shop sales/use coupons

Track every penny and you will most likely see that you are overspending on things

Pay cash for everything... It is so easy to forget that Debt/ATM/Credit is MONEY. Plus there are no hidden fees for cash. The only place it is not accepted is Sam's Club Gas.

When it is gone stop spending!!!

I have my think-about-it technique that I use at stores like target (non-grocery stores). If I see something I like and want to buy I will carry it around the store with me. Then when I get up to the register I ask myself... Do I REALLY need it or just want it? If its just a want, I will put it back. The next time I come back, if I see the item again and still REALLY want it I will put more thought into buying it.

90% of the time, once I leave the store, I forget about whatever it was and dont even remember to check it out on my next trip.

The sleep on it method my dad called it. He used to use it for all big purchases (even cars).
