How often do you use cash vs using your credit or debit card?
Do you see an advantage to one or the other?
Why do you use the preferred payment method?

How often do you use cash vs using your credit or debit card? I hardly ever use cash
Do you see an advantage to one or the other? I use my debit card for reward points which helps with xmas shopping but I think when I use cash, I spend less money.
Why do you use the preferred payment method? Debit card just because its easy and I don't have to go to the bank to get cash out

How often do you use cash vs using your credit or debit card? We mostly use 1 credit card that is paid off each month

Do you see an advantage to one or the other? We used cash for awhile when we paid off our CC debt and it really helped. Then as the budget was more flexible we went to using the card. We probably should go back to using cash. I'm sure we'd spend less that way!

Why do you use the preferred payment method? We earn cash back on the card.

We use the debit for almost everything, just because it's easier. We should really start using cash so we'd spend less tho!

We recently went back to a cash system. We found it helps us control our spending more and we can be better about our budget. Its not for everyone but it does help us see how much we spend.

How often do you use cash vs using your credit or debit card? I always use my debit card. I do not carry cash hardly ever, if I do it's rarely more than $10-$20

Do you see an advantage to one or the other? Depends on the person. For me, no. I save my receipts and record everything and budget so it doesn't matter one way or the other. For others not seeing the cash go out makes it too easy to over spend. So I think it just depends on the person.

Why do you use the preferred payment method? Safer as well as easier, but primarily safer.

99.9% cash. Debit for on line purchases where I have to put the money into the bank to pay for the item and my phone/intenet bill.

Do you see an advantage to one or the other? Cash is harder to over spend and with my debit card I have tried to use it and it not work.

Why do you use the preferred payment method? Because I suck at balancing a check book and over spending.

I use my credit card but have to be able to pay it off every month (so I keep a close eye on my actual cash).

I hate carrying cash, but i try to weigh what we are buying with need vs want. right now we are on a VERY VERY tight budget so its only needs.

I get cash back on my credit card.
