Do you have pet insurance? I have two cats and 2 dogs and no, I do not have pet insurance. Most finaicial analysts and CPA's do not recommend pet insurance. I do however have a savings account for our animals, so we hvae the money to pay for something (reasonable), but if it is never used then we are not losing money on a policy/premiums either.

Do you find the cost worth it? No, IMO the cost is absolutely not worth it. Too much "red tape" and denials versus what you pay for the coverage. I buy medications from the human pharmacy whenever possible to keep costs down or from pet pharmacies online that are reputable or price match with my vet for the online costs, learn how to do procedures to keep costs down (such as when my dog needed sub Q fluids, and when he had surgery and needed after care), so far I haven't had any issues, despite having numerous extremely ill animals.

We gave our dog to our ILs because she was acting out from not enough attention She is thriving there with their other 2 dogs.

We did not have insurance for her.

We thought about insurance but it just didn't seem worth the cost. I was curious what others thought.

Our pets are disposible. If they have a medical issue they either pull through or my DH will put them down.

I don't have any pets that need a vet for.

But I would not have insurance for them
