For those that have been doing it for a bit what was the hard part when you first started? We've been doing it for at least 2 years now. Hardest part for me was finding time to actually sit down and write out the budget once a month. I'm not a numbers person, plus I'm busy, so to figure out what I would be making that month and what my hubby would be making, any bills we had coming up, etc is something I really didn't (and still don't) like doing. But once I just MADE myself do it it got easier.

Separating needs from wants. Hubby likes to play the we only live once card and I am a sucker for going and doing things with the kids. I think part of it is just to get out/get away from the house a bit since I am a SAHM.
We have a hard time with the needs vs wants and not indulging because life is short. I think it takes balance, we just need to find it . Sticking to our budget is hit or miss. Some months we do great and other months we suck.
